Hands down the best experience I have ever had. I wish I could give it more than 10 if I could. Everything was very beautiful like a dream. The staff went above and beyond to attend to our needs. We had some problem at the train station. The staff, Masaki-san, went to pick us up and helped explain to the train station personel about our situation. They also dropped us off where we needed to go with some good recommendations. The hot spring in the room was insanely beautiful. The public bath was comfortable and the food was beyond delicious. Words cannot explain how happy I am with the experience and I will definitely come back again when I have a chance.

I liked everything from the time I entered this place! Wonderful staff! Wonderful design of hotel! Wonderful restaurant dinner, 2 nights 2 different menus, traditional Japanese breakfast 👍 Hot spring bath in the room, also public bath, we were allowed to visit it even having big tattoos.

Boutique luxury hotel in Hakone. I believe there are only 9 rooms in total. Brand new and stunning. The room is fantastic - decent size, bathroom huge, wardrobe, bed comfortable and loved the traditional feel to everything in the room, your own onsen with beautiful wooden surroundings that you fill with water yourself and can hear the large waterfall from the native bush below. Just divine and relaxing. Smart tv that you can watch from the onsen or in bed. Because of the waterfall you needed to have the volume up quite high though. Drinks in fridge were for your enjoyment free of charge. They include drinks and snacks in the restaurant area in the afternoon for your enjoyment. Lovely check in process, with a personal touch and a traditional tea. Bus stop right there at road entrance to the hotel - we used this a few times during our stay. Taxi is best when arriving and leaving with suitcases given the hills. 7 eleven a few hundred metres walk. We didn’t want to leave!

    We really enjoyed our stay in Tsukinoya. The hosts were extremely friendly and amenable. They held our bags prior to check in and the male owner kindly drove us to Sōunzan Station and pointed out where we would need to stop when disembarking the bus. After thanking him with my poor Japanese, he was very friendly and was very, very kind when showing us our room. He also offered to take us to Miyanoshita Station when we checked out. The room was authentic and spacious, and the onsens were incredibly relaxing after a day of exploring Hakone.

    Staff is wonderful, explained everything in perfect details in English for us. The place is very beautiful, with exceptional view, although it is quite tough to get here on the bus, so take in mind on your trip to take train. They do provide shuttle service from Miyanoshita station, which is great. Food was fantastic as well!
