Excellent stay — clean, convenient, and unbeatable location This is a small hotel, but extremely clean and fully equipped. The room has absolutely everything you might need: hair dryer, kettle, cups, tissues, fridge, even a bathtub. There’s also an air purifier + humidifier which was a lifesaver during the dry weather. Amenities are plentiful—many essentials are available at the 5F lobby area, so you can easily pick up anything you’re missing. Staff were very thoughtful and friendly. I forgot to hang the sign for towel change, but when I asked in the evening whether they could replace them, they were more than willing to help. Location is fantastic. There’s a convenience store right on the 1F, Don Quijote on the 2F, and just across the street is the Mi Do Ri station mall with plenty of regional products and souvenirs. Highly recommended: the bakery on the ground floor—it’s amazing. Best of all, the hotel is very, very close to Nagano Station and both the shuttle bus and Alpico Bus Ticket Center. Planning a one-day trip has never been easier.

The Hotel is easy to find, 5min away from Nagano station, straight line. Staff is very polite (as usual) and speaks english fluent (not usual in Japan). Room (double eco) is not small, some space around the bed and it is nice. Furniture and decoration old fashion but clean and perfectly functional. Free lockers at the entrance, very useful.

The location of the hotel is okay - basically halfway between Nagano station and Zenkoji Temple. Rooms are a bit more spacious than in the other hotels I have stayed in Japan. Breakfast (buffet) was actually a nice surprise because there was a rather large selection. I dont mind Japanese style breakfast, but was happy to discover some Western food samples at the buffet as well. Also the view from the breakfast hall was really nice.

The location is great, within walking distance of JR Nagano Station. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are large and clean, with a great view of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor of the hotel was great and tasty, a lot of Japanese dishes. The restaurant itself has beautiful examples of Japanese art and the atmosphere itself is more reminiscent of an expensive Japanese restaurant.

Near perfect location, just across from Nagano station Zenkoji exit. Like all business hotels in Japan, the room was compact (made it a little tricky with skis and a boot bag) and clean, room was quiet and - frequent travellers around Japan will know how nice this is - a window that opened to let in fresh air.

Great location accessible from Nagano station on level two without going outside. We had a twin room as this tends to give you more room in Japanese hotels but we needn’t have worried as the room was a generous size for Japan. We had a high floor room with a view towards the mountains and as requested they had put us at the end of a corridor to limit noise. All usual room facilities were available and we had a comfy chair and small table as well. The TV was a good size and had the advantage of Netflix’s available on the remote itself.

The breakfast in the morning was the highlight! They provide takeaway or dine in options for breakfast and the spread is a mix of western and japanese food. Really enjoyed the meal especially the soba! Staff were friendly and used translator devices to converse with us. Room was spacious and hotel located near nagano station, not much food options nearby but there’s a convenience store & takeaway place (hotto motto).

super convenient to Nagano station. Hotel is from 5th Floor in multistory building. Rooms reasonable size, bathroom quite large, for Japanese standards. Twin beds large and comfortable. Good spot. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is very close to the Nagano station. The receptionist was very gentle and helped us a lot during our stay (even though his English was not perfect, he was very helpful and we really appreciated his kindness, a big thanks to him). The room was clean and a lot of amenities (comparing to other hotels) are available in the lobby. The breakfast was a buffet with a mix of Japanese and continental dishes, I really appreciated the local juices.

One of Nagano's specialties is oyaki, a steamed bun filled with various things (local vegetables, leeks, bean paste, etc.). Nagano Station sells them cold, but on the road leading up to Zenko-ji Temple, you can find them piping hot--perfect for a chilly winter day in the mountains. Gohei-mochi is another regional treat, which is basically pounded rice stuck on a stick and grilled. It has a similar flavor to mitarashi dango, though it's not always as sweet. There's an incredible buffet (or "viking") with a ton of vegetarian options on the walk up to Zenjo-ki as well: there's a sign out front that says "kinoko and vegetable," and many of the offerings within feature locally grown vegetables. Don't skip the maitake tempura: I didn't realize how much I liked mushrooms until I came here!
