The location and the view from the hotel is really beautiful and the facilities are very clean and well maintained. the buffet breakfast is huge, with a lot of choice and even show cooking stations. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Excellent hotel, wonderful room, decor and ambiance very pleasing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was superb and well presented, with recommend wine to match. Breakfasts were amazing, a good choice of the finest Sri Lankan favourites.

I can't thank Roshan - the owner and his family enough for the help they rendered. Right from information about the various tourist sites to booking a scooter for us to helping my fellow traveler with medical aid or getting food, they never said no to anything. Extremely helpful and friendly people. They also booked a tuktuk for us at a reasonable price to get to Nanu Oya. Ask them about good places to eat and visit. The homestay is located on a hillock about 2.5 kms away from the city centre or post office. Please use pickme app to book a tuktuk to this place. Our room was spacious and clean and the homestay is very beautiful. We had no problem with the wifi like we had in Sigiriya and Kandy. They have a small garden and the view of the city and the open sky is amazing. We had great conversations with the family. Would definitely book the homestay again if I visit Nuwara Eliya in the future.

I understand that this is a man made lake.

I understand that this is a man made lake. A nice n easy stroll by the side of the lake with plenty of small shops at one side selling drinks n snacks. Different type of boat rides are offered to visitors to the lake or just take a leisurely stroll by the side, your choice.

If you get up early you can see the hills reflected in...

If you get up early you can see the hills reflected in glassy water - but after about 8.30am it all gets churned up by motor boats and jet skis racing up and down as Sri Lankan families enjoy their days out. You can walk around the lake but keep your initial entry ticket as you have to pass through repeat entrances and may get charged multiple times.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our recent visit to Nuwara Eliya. The room was clean and comfortable with an excellent view of the surrounding fields/ Gregory Lake. The staff of this hotel are absolute gems! They are kind, courteous and extremely helpful. They couldn’t do more for you during your stay; they even looked after our driver. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning.

Moonstone Apartment located in near by femus gregory lake end.. exelent staff services and very freindly , very helpfuly. One more thing fully occupied kitchen in apartment .. Very well maintain and management .. Television with living Area , very clean bathroom .. Thank you very much moonstone apartment and staff again .. this is my best visited place in nuwaraeliya .. ❤💚💚

Its very near to Gregory Lake. walking 5 mins. View from room was also good. However they should clean the windows for better view. The backside view of tea plantations was not visible due to unclean windows. However the cars cannot reach the hotel parking as the slope is steep. The housekeeping were all good and fast. Hot Water 24/7. Breakfast also good with good taste, mostly srilankan.,

It’s a cute hotel, very close to the main town and market. Even Victoria Garden and the Gregory Lake is a walking distance from the hotel. Satish who manages the hotel is very nice. The day I did an early trek, they even packed me a breakfast. He also helped me book a cab.

Very good place, a short walk from Gregory lake and some tea gardens nearby. Dulani the owner there was very sweet. Nice wooden bunk beds, quite comfortable. They served delicious breakfast too. Nanu Oya train station about 4-5 km, you can get a bus easily from a nearby junction about 800 metres from the hostel. Would highly recommend!

The view is amazing, peaceful location and the staff are always available to help if need be. The hotel is about a 15 minutes walk to town and 5 minutes from Gregory lake, we particularly enjoyed the quiet location. The breakfast was good and delivered to the room each morning, eggs, omelette, bread, fruit and tea. We had an apartment with 2 rooms, perfect for our family of 4 and plenty of space.

Staff were all exceptionally professional, pleasant and attentive. Everywhere was very clean, despite the weather outside, the hotel had a warm homely feeling, nice cosy longe and bar areas. Nice location just outside town , if weather better could have explored the forest and not too far to walk to Gregory lake approx 1km or so.

The hotel was really worth the price paid. Location at an easily accessible area close to the town and other cites such as Gregory lake, moon plains etc. The food was exceptional and the rooms were clean with heaters. Hot water was available at all times during the day.
