Great place to stay! Everything was perfect A to Z! We spent here the last days of our trip: beautiful people, beautiful beach, beautiful place! Definitely a place to stay!!

We absolutely loved this hotel. Out of all the hotels we stayed in for a month in Sri Lanka we liked this one and one other hotel the best. We got the room at a reduced rate online and the value for money was exceptional. The property has small number of rooms yet has so much space and so many sitting areas. The gardens and decor are really nice. The pool was really nice and clean. The beach area is really nice to walk and clean, really great beach for walking and just ten minutes walk on beach to main area. The rooms are really nice, very large, very clean, great bed and linen and areas to sit and big balcony with very comfortable seating. The bathroom is large and good. The bathroom is a bit open but they put mosquito prevention items etc and there weren’t any mosquitoes as they fumigate but would be easier if they just put flyscreen in bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. The property feels very luxurious and intimate. The dinner menu was limited with western food only that was very formal and no snacks etc. It is understandable to have limited menu because at the time we stayed there were only three groups of guests. However there are many eating options in Bentota so there was no problem at all, the place across the road was cheap and cheerful and Nova Seafood was really, really good.

Beach front location, very good dining facilities, polite staff, garden and beach cleaned well daily

A truly exceptional small hotel near one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka. We stayed for two nights at first and after a few nights in Galle we returned to Villa Bentota given that the hotel was just so good. The hotel buildings and interiors are really beautiful and clean. The room is cleaned in the morning and the staff also enquires if there is a need to do a second cleaning later during the stay. The surroundings are exceptional. All of the staff at the hotel very helpful (although at least one of them was only in it for the tips) and very professional. Special thanks to Chamod and Malith. The breakfast was amazing and the best we had in the 7 hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Lunch and dinner were great as well, offering the option to cook essentially whatever the client likes (of course within limits).

Hotel Management was good 👍 kind and thoughtful. The business and your wellbeing matters. For the price it's a Good Value and I walk to the beach. You have a short 100m walk which includes an adventure over a railway line. This is good fun if you're able bodied. Good bed with Mosquito Nets and nice furniture spacious room. Restaurant and other stuff walking distances.
