Excellent environment, the garden, pool, dinning area are so well-maintained. We do not need any mosquito repellent in the property which is a big contrast in other boutique hotels/guesthouses in nearby area where we dined. The room is clean, spacious, simple yet stylist. Must join safari through the guesthouse, their connected driver is super professional and always took the best spots amongst all jeeps! Also very nice breakfast. We love everything from il Frangipane!

The staff specially the manager cum chef Sujeewa has gone out of the way to accommodate our food needs. Fresh fish he got from the lake locally and cooked as per our taste... the location is great with awesome view of the sigiriya rock from the room.

Perfect Location for staying in Sigiriya! We had a small bungalow with a terrace for our own. The owner cooked us delicious dinner and the rooms were clean. Totally recommend this place!

The Shakshuka breakfast was delicious, also the pasta dinner ~ as good as in Italy. Bed so comfortable, setting very peaceful. Pool was perfect for cooling down in the middle of the day and I loved watching monkeys swing through the trees while reading on a pool lounger. The owner arranged a jeep safari for me at local Eco Park ~ it was awesome to see elephants up so close!

A very nice climb to the top, though the final few meters...

A very nice climb to the top, though the final few meters are a bit challenging. We weren’t lucky with the weather, as it was pouring the entire time at sunrise. Even so, it was an enjoyable hike up and down with the kids — a small adventure in itself.

I can’t recommend this place for elders and disabled.if you are climbing lover,well.very difficult to reach top,it was so dangerous way.I can not see management of this place have considered about visitors.

Very very nice.

Very very nice. I went there by bike and did the " hike" then. The view is beautiful I did't wanted to leave. There where a few other people ( 9 am) but it was far from crowded. The path is coverd by trees but still u will sweat. I am a serious bad climper but I Managed the last Part easily. Highly recommended. The entrancfee is 1000 slr now.

King’s Domain in Sigiriya is truly a gem. After a 5.5-hour tuk-tuk ride from Negombo, we arrived at this wonderful hotel surrounded by Sri Lanka’s incredible wildlife — elephants, monkeys, and even crocodiles. The location is perfect: just a 15-minute drive from both Pidurangala Rock and Lion’s Rock. The room was luxurious and big, the food okay, and the warm hospitality made our stay even more special. We truly enjoyed the kind people and the peaceful atmosphere. Special thanks to Anjana, Krishan and Sharindu!

Excellent experience in such a unique stay! The treehouse felt like something out of Tarzan and it was so magical to fall asleep listening to the animals/insects. The mosquito net worked really well at night and we made sure to put all our belongings away due to the monkeys! The staff were very attentive and organised tuk tuks when needed. The location is a close walk to Pidurangala Rock and has local restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend for a few nights on your holiday in Sri Lanka!

Kani was a really nice host! He took us a Sunrise to Pidurangala Rock & showed us Elephants! It was really nice to stay at his new Hostel & I wish him luck with establishing it more. Stay at his place, it is really good Value for Money. I hope i can stay again somewhere in the future.

The hotel is set in a spectacular location in the mountains, with amazing views of Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks. The rooms and comfort are definitely 5 star, and the 3 pools are all great. The main pool by the cafe area at sunset is excellent and incredibly chilled and relaxing. We were lucky enough to see elephants out in the fields on one of our two nights. The setting and finish in the hotel are both amazing and you really feel like you are in one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka.

The hotel is very beautiful, exactly as shown in the photos. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly. The pool was large and very beautiful. The hotel is only a few minutes away by tuk-tuk or car from Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock.

Very nice view of the Sigiriya Rock and spacious balcony + working area. It is very interesting to find a Japanese run hotel along the village of Sigiriya. Welcome drink is served, as well very abundant breakfast. The room is very spacious too with outdoor balcony. Love the Japanese toilet :) location near to Pidurangala Rock, best sunset view in Sri Lanka

We all loved the scrumptious breakfasts served every morning. In fact the plate service was delicious, but too much! The breakfast service was excellent. We also took our evening meals at the hotel. The chef is a master at his trade. Good quaality food prepared with excellence and care. Thank you for the lovely rice and curry! We'll come back for it. The rooms were lovely with an airy balcony where one can sit and watch both the Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks in the distance across the fields. A beautiful sight.

This hostel is run by a very lovely and young couple. They make you feel at home, very caring. Bug and spacious toilet and bathroom. Has hot water. Has toilet paper, towel provided upon asking. Had AC & fan. They’ve a restaurant at the front of the hostel so no restaurant hunting. They’ve cooking classes. 45mins walk to the Pidurangala Rock. The owner can drop and pick you to the Pidurangala Rock if need be.

Beautiful hotel near the entrance to the rock. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Lovely, clean rooms. Staff were very friendly. There are loads of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Sigiriya has a really cool, laid back vibe to it. Worth a visit whether you're climbing Lion Rock or Pidurangala Rock just a place to chill for a couple of days.

The hotel is new, so the room was very nice and clean. There is a terrace with a beautiful view of Lion’s Rock, where a tasty breakfast is served. The location is perfect, there are many restaurants nearby, and it’s quite close to the entrance to Lion’s Rock. The staff were very friendly and arranged a tuk-tuk for us early in the morning, as we wanted to climb Pidurangala Rock for the sunrise.
