United StatesThis nearly new 1 BR home has a great location and is equipped with everything needed for a couple to enjoy their time in Hahei. Not overly large, but nice separation of space for dining and hanging out on the couch. Gavin was quick to respond when we had questions. If 3A is available you should book it !

United KingdomThe location was perfect, lovely short stroll to the beach. Cleanliness was 100% so much attention to detail with the cleaning. Loved the books and puzzles for our children and the buckets and spades were a godsend as we had forgotten ours! Crispy clean white sheets and towels made for a very comfortable sleep.
The decor was fresh and had little decor touches that made it feel very homely whilst in keeping with the kiwi bach beach vibe, would definitely recommend for families and would book here again when we return!

This is one of those drop-everything most beautiful places...
This is one of those drop-everything most beautiful places on earth. up there with Venice and Lake Como. We drove from Auckland and our room not quite ready, so we set off, caught the shuttle bus/minivan thingy, and walked to the Cove and back. There are no facilities to change into togs, but we brought a large towel that did the job of a 'changing tent'. We also had drinks and snacks in the backpack. We saw a few people trying to dart through the gap and dodge the waves, but the tide was coming in (!) and one man bumped his head on the rock! So... either get wet, or bump your head? The next morning, we joined a small group of 4 kayaks (booked this months ago) and paddled from Hahai Beach to Cathedral Cove. Ngairene met me on arrival and gave me a tour of the apartment. On two occasions, my hosts gave me a ride to the Cathedral Cove trailhead. There is no parking at the trailhead; drop-off only, and this saved me a long, steep hike before tackling the trail. I was allowed to use their laundry facilities, which was much appreciated. The viewing platform of Cathedral Cove is just a 2-minute walk away. We stayed here for 2 nights, one day doing the Cathdral Cove walk, the other day taking the Hahei Explorer boat tour. We also had time for a bath at Hot Water Beach, going to Te Pare point at sunset, taking a ferry to Whitianga for lunch, and driving to Shakespeare Cliff Lookout for the view and a little bit history.
