Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with tastefully renovated facilities that reflect great attention to detail. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. A true palace stay in a beautiful building fit (and made for) a king. The surrounding gardens are a national treasure. We were there on a cold, rainy February day and still loved our walk around the grounds. Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel. The evening meal at the restaurant was also very good. I can't stress enough the beauty of the building decor. Staff was warm and hospitable despite the stunning palatial setting. Ample parking.Very comfortable bed.

We had such a wonderful family stay at Hotel Alegre! The hotel has a charming, traditional atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful advice about the local area. We especially loved the beautiful location in Luso — so peaceful, with lovely views and easy access to the thermal baths and nearby attractions. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, a perfect start to our days.
