The location is a bit away from the city center and is in an area where it's not conducive to walking outside, but the hotel premises are safe and peaceful. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms were good. Kansas City is generally expensive, but this hotel was relatively affordable and suitable for a 2-3 day stay.
