Prospect Park

This sprawling park is a focal point for all Brooklyn life. Cyclists and runners rub shoulders with picnicking families in its shady groves and open meadows. Adventurous types can scramble through The Ravine’s rugged woodland, while pretty ponds provide spots to paddle, row or fish. And if all that sounds too energetic, simply spread out a blanket and snooze in the sun.

The subway to Manhatten and Prospect Park (great place for jogging) are just right around the corner. There are also some nice cafes and bars for breakfast/dinner. Also easy to access and quite near are Coney Island and Green-Wood Cemetery. Last but not least very nice hosts. Perfect place to stay for our five days in NYC.

The location is good, 10-15 min walk to public transport and to prospect park. The rooftop terrace of the hotel was a great plus. The staff were friendly. The sound insulation is pretty good.

This is a no frills hotel but it was perfect. From the outside it looked mildly sketchy, but all staff were super nice and everything was clean, room was big. There aren’t really any amenities - there might’ve been a coffee maker in the room but the lobby was tiny, no breakfast or onsite food, no fitness center, but it was a good location (mile from prospect park too). I would definitely stay again!

Well-maintained historic house in a safe neighborhood. Nearby grocery stores, restaurants, subway station, and one of the loveliest parks in the city (Prospect Park). Hosts are very friendly and kind. You can lock your room, so there is no problem with privacy.
