Everything! Perfect location to get around the city and very close to Central Park. We had a good view of the Thanksgiving Day parade! Walking distance to The Brooklyn Diner, and The Burger Joint (hidden behind the red curtains) inside the Thompson Hotel. The coffee maker was amazing, daily bottled water, and refrigerator. The housekeeping staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant, especially Zuka! She is wonderful!

Times Square

Alive with billboards and brightly-lit screens, Times Square thrums with energy. Yellow taxis fly past and tourists pause awestruck to snap photos on their phones. The bustle of New York summed up in one crossroads, every element competes for your attention. It may be often recreated for film and TV, but nothing beats seeing this iconic location up-close.

    It’s great.

It’s great. Know at any national holiday the terroists could create a riot a riot and go when it’s safe. No national holidays. Remember 9/22 was terroists. Do not dress well and carry nothing expensive on you.

Times Square was everything I hoped for and more.

Times Square was everything I hoped for and more. Even at midnight, it was lit up like daytime. I loved that because it made me feel safe walking around. The massive billboards were mesmerizing, like something out of a movie. Everyone was just being their full, authentic selves, and the energy was so accepting. Even the people who stared were supportive. I randomly photobombed a cute guy and he actually loved it. And yes, I even danced by the red stairs with someone who looked a little down on their luck, and I honestly didn’t care. It was all part of the experience. Times Square has a vibe like no other.

Was excited to see this iconic place and it was as imagined! Loads of billboards always changing and the new year countdown clock. There were also a lot of characters who would photo-bomb your photo and then ask you for money - they really put the pressure on so beware.

    Busy, Beautiful at night time!

Busy, Beautiful at night time! We stayed at the Crown Plaza--right next to the subway! Perfect spot to reach almost anything you want to see in the city in just a few minutes ride. It is mostly shopping--gift shops and retail stores. Broadway is right there as well if you enjoy plays. Eat a good beakfast a Jr. Cheesecake! Theres also a few bars around and good resturants.

This is a wonderful art deco hotel in the Times Square area. You are in reach of the most interesting places, most of them in walk distance. The hotel has a lot of style, mural paintings and jazz music in the foyer. Furthermore, it is famous for its traditional, but yet fancy Friedman's Cafe loved by New Yorkers. Mrs. Singh contributed to a marvellous stay. She cared for the best equipment of my room. Also, she had lots of tips for my tours through Big Apple.

This hotel is perfectly located, close to the Central Park, Broadway, Times Square and subway stations. We were a bit concerned with noise prior to our arrival, but the kindly staff gave us a room facing back and it was really quiet (for New York). We were pleasantly surprised by this. Friendly staff members like miss Karina, Miss Nancy and the Paris borne gentlemen that makes perfect espresso coffee made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in midtown either alone or with family.

Very nice hotel; although the rooms are small, they are very smart designed; comfortable bed of a good size, toiletries in the room; nice New York view from the window; the absolute highlight of this hotel is its location in the heart of Manhattan – just a 5-minute walk from Grand Central Terminal and the subway, and within walking distance of attractions like Times Square and Empire State Building; very helpful and friendly reception staff – they helped my partner with shopping for my birthday :); great rooftop as well

A great hotel for the price and location. 10 mins walk to Times Square, the subway etc. The room was smallish, but this didn't matter as we didn't spend a lot of time in it, we were in New York. The room though slow, had great features, like a bed that was electronic to sit it up, nice wet room shower/toilet etc. Definitely would use this hotel again. At the roof top bar is a yes to visit. The chaps in the foyer were super helpful, we were able to store our bags for the day.

The hotel is in a walkable distance from Times Square, Empire State, Rockefeller Center, Central Park and metro stations. The neighborhood also has great restaurants and everything you may need. Room has decent space for New York standards and the staff was great. Breakfast was ok, but could have more variety and healthier options.

We booked this hotel for our 1st 2 nights in New York as a special treat as our trip to Canada before we got here was cancelled due to Air Canada strikes. This hotel was an absolute treat and luxury. The location was brilliant, very close to Times Square and transport, lovely friendly staff, gorgeous room and bathroom and excellent TV facilities. My niece loved the bathrobe and slippers and light in the wardrobe.

The hotel was in a perfect location for us, being less than 2 blocks from Times Square and only short walks (short for New York at least) to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Centre and Penn Station. Despite it being in a busy part of New York, it was such a quiet hotel which I personally liked. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to New York again

6 nights with my family at [Hotel Name] and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Times Square and many other attractions, which made it very convenient for sightseeing with the family. The staff were very nice and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The restaurant offered a good breakfast with plenty of options, and the staff there were especially kind and attentive. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York.

Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.
