Go see it up close!
Go see it up close! You can really see how tall it is and why the monument was considered the tallest building when it was first built. Didn't get to go inside, but you can sit around it (on grass or benches) and just admire the entire area. Especially on a sunny day, it is just so beautiful. Go during the day and go back during the night when it is lit up. Such a different experience - both are great!Guest review byBeauxjoursUnited States

Washington Monument is worth a visit but you need to book tickets in advance or be prepared to queue up at 8am at ticket office on 15th street for the days distribution. It's FREE and you'll have your tickets by 8:40!!!!Guest review byAnonymous
