Very special place. Like many others in South Africa - specially in Garden Route - the staff was specially careful and nice. It was our honeymoon and they manage to guarantee everything, including a boat ride from Gansbaai. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the city of Hermanus is a very special destination to enjoy.

The hotel is beautifully designed. Elegant yet comfortable/cozy. The staff was attentive, friendly and so helpful. The location is perfect. I enjoyed being a bit further out of town and the immediate access to the cliff trail. Breakfast in the terrace was the perfection. My massage was also a delightful experience.

Hermanus was our first stop in South Africa and what a great way to start off a holiday, by staying at Harbour House Hotel! Perfect location, we could view the ocean and could see whales from our room as well as through the glass doors of the corridor on our floor. Very centrally located, a minute's walk to everything, the whale museum, Gearing's point, and the Whale Festival venue, and a variety of restaurants, Pick Pay stores (5 minutes walk from hotel). We were at the hotel during the Whale Festival and it was so cheerful and fun. We got to see lots of whales just by walking a few feet from the hotel. The rooms were spectacular, spotlessly clean ( excellent housekeeping). The kettle and coffee maker (Nespresso coffee machine)and the supply of tea, coffe pellets for Nespresso, milk, sugar was more than adequate and always replenished every day. The toiletries was of excellent quality, the towels very white, soft and absorbent. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. Their breakfast was fixed but had a variety to choose from and very delicious and sumptuous. They had vegetarian options too. Services at the restaurant excellent. Their restaurant is extremely pretty with an option to sit out as well and watch the ocean. The concierge was excellent, with such friendly staff and always eager to ask how we are doing and if we wanted anything. They suggested Percy Tours for arranging the Capetown airport pick up and drop to Cape Town hotel. They would also organise your tours if required. Thank you Harbour House Hotel for such an unforgettable and a happy stay and holiday. We carry back wonderful memories of all of you .
