This is probably the best hotel we stayed in Ecuador. The place is stunning, surrounded by 1000 hectares of cloud forest yet you feel absolutely safe and comfortable inside. Everyone is kind and professional, food was exceptional (and I am Italian and not easy to please :)…), the rooms are spacious and comfortable, there is 24 hr room service and a in-house doctor, a library, a cute boutique shop and they offer a spa and hot tub to relax. Guides are well prepared and very kind! We had Jonathan and loved the activities together.

This rustic hotel offers excellent value for money.It is spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and a nice hammock /lounge space.I particularly appreciated their beautiful garden full of humming birds !Thankyou so much for a very pleasant stay!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and served a really nice breakfast. The room, our own terrace, but also the hotel garden were all beautiful. The bathroom was very big and clean and had a nice jacuzzi. We will come back here for sure.

Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere.
