Very nice experience we had at this accommodation 👌 The members of the staff are very kind and you get this family warmth feeling when you stay at this place. Dinner is just amazing!!❤️ homemade food full of different flavors and made with a lot of love. For the rest everything was well arranged with the safari tours. 100% recommended 👌

Wow, there are no words for this place. The host Ranil has created an oasis near Wilpattu NP focused on sustainability and responsible tourism. There are only two guest houses and the open hall for gathering and eating. The ambience is very calm and peaceful. But it also feels adventurous sleeping in the tents, knowing that elephants might came to sneak around the neighbouring fields. (We always felt super save because of the locals manning the watch platform during the night and the electro fence). We watched dozens of fire flys and the full moon from our open bathroom area a night. When we arrived on the main road we were picked up by a safari guide whom we booked a full day tour with the next day. Highly recommend that as well. In the evening we talked to Ranil a lot about his projects as a biologist in the park and he gave us a lot of insight into Sri Lanka. Of course my boyfriend loved the dog Kylie. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka we have to come back here.

PART 2-REVIEW: FOOD: Delicious, really tasty home cooked food, whether for breakfast, safari lunch box, dinner or complimentary fresh fruit juices and biscuits. Both Isuru & Samadhi cook and are highly knowledgeable about the local ingredients and their health benefits, explaining to us the virtues of various plants they grow in their garden. They pride themselves in only cooking with fresh ingredients and no artificial additives. We were even invited into their kitchen to help with the preparation of the dinner! BONUS: Lots of wildlife just at your doorstep: we saw peacocks & other birds, various lizards, deers, water buffalos, etc...just by sitting on the terrace! Also easy access road & ample parking space at the lodge.

Owner gave us a nice birdwatching tour in the evening, they were always ready to bring us whatever we needed and when we came back they had fresh watermelon juice ready for us to enjoy. Besides that, the wife of the owner is an extremely good cook. To top things off, we even got the brand new room they had just finished. It also a great base of operations for day trips in to the fabulous Wilpattu park.

Place was beautiful. And the rooms were very clean. Place is owned by a Family and their son runs the resort. Uncle and Aunty were very friendly. The room we bought(for 4 people) is a separate part of the house they live in. But was isolated properly. Eventhough we checked in very late they were very welcoming. We didnt order any food from them so can't evaluate that. Overall a very comforting, secure place. Highly Recommend for a Family or a Group of Friends.❤️

It is very close to the national park which is convenient. We didn’t get a chance to try the pool but it looked inviting. The staff are amazing and the food delicious. The rooms were lovely and clean, overall I thought it was great value for the money.

I believe this guest house is ideal for people doing a Wilpattu Safari: - it is located right next to the park entrance. - it is not luxurious, but who needs a luxurious hotel if you are going to spend the entire day on safari anyway? - the AC worked great, the bed slept well and it has an ensuite shower and toilet. - they were happy to supply lunch and breakfast for the safari, and prepare dinner as well. I ate very well there. - the hostess was very kind and happy to help with questions. - if you are lucky you may already spot some animals from your window! I saw a wild peacock and monkeys. But apparently elephants also sometimes roam through nearby fields.
