The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the overall quietness of the location meant that every morning we woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the day's adventures. The lodge’s amenities and its serene setting contributed to a feeling of exclusive privacy and comfort. For anyone visiting Rapa Nui, I cannot recommend Kona Koa Lodge enough. Offering free WiFi and a garden, Cabañas & Hostal Tojika is situated in Hanga Roa, 1.8 km from Tahai. Hanga Roa Anthropological Museum is 2.1 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site. The place is great to stay! Very close to the sea and have a great view of sunset. Reasonable walking distance to the Main Street. Mihinoa and Patricio is very friendly and welcoming, also recommended many good restaurants and beautiful places to me. Traveling in Easter island is an unforgettable memory to me, I definitely come back again!

Ahu Tongariki is 20 km from the lodge, while Hanga Roa Anthropological Museum is 2.8 km away. Mataveri International Airport is 5 km from the property, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. The property itself is excellent. However it desperately needs air con as u cook inside the pods. The fan was almost non existent in the brutal heat. The staff were excellent but u need translation as English is not spoken. Pick up and drop off to the airport was very welcome. If u want to be close to the action tho, it’s not for you. Half hour walk to town in the heat isn’t doable. You need a car or scooter. It’s off the beaten track. The pool is a bonus but if ur in Easter island surely u won’t be laying around a pool at any time

New property with a lovely comfortable bed and large bathroom. Bed linen and bathroom towels etc were lovely quality. Having an outdoor verandah area was great - the garden will be lovely as it grows. Property is a very short walk from the airport - you won’t need a taxi. It is a nice 15 minute walk through the local residential streets to the restaurants and shops down town and on the waterfront.

Also, Patricia is super considerate and lovely. She helped me book the tours when she knew that I booked the trip last minute at a very busy season and needed help with the tour plans. When she knew that I forgot my charging blocks, she gave me two. Super helpful! I would recommend it to everyone that visits easter island.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the lodge. it’s in a garden near the airport ( but only 3-4 flights a week) and a 15-20 minute walk downtown the folks that run it are sweethearts they have rental cars so you don’t even have to leave the property for that…. and their jeeps are as cheap or cheaper than the places in town….

I only had 1 night on Easter Island (RapaNui) but what a great place to stay ! Carla the host, picked me up from the airport and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. I also took up the offer of using one of their cars as rental for 24hrs. A must do to give you the freedom to drive around yourself. The property was fantastic. Quiet, clean, comfortable with open views to the coast. And the night sky (if clear) - wow ! Thanks Carla for a memorable stay 🙏😀
