I wanted accommodation were we could see plenty of wildlife and be surrounded by nature. Arenal Observatory Lodge exceeded out expectations. We saw beautiful birds everywhere along with other wildlife. We considered the drive back to La Fortuna to be relatively easy, so did not mind that it was a little bit out of the way. Excellent breakfast and very accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommend that horse trek here as well.

The most lovely hosts helped with everything and served a delicious breakfast and optional diner. You can watch countless birds from the breakfast table or maybe frogs or other animals during an offered night walk around. I left in the morning and miss it already. Maybe we will see each other again - you never know. :)

We travelled with a three year old, all our needs were accomodated and we all felt very comfortable. Hospitality of Finca Amistad is amazing, thank you!
