The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and the area is very quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The heaters in the private rooms and ovens in the communal areas made it feel cozy and warm Event though it can be quite chilly and damp up in the mountains. The garden is like a little park and has some nice sitting areas. Also there is an awesome sunset spot nearby and some walks.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. As it can be a bit cold at night, we even had hot-water bottles. There is also a heater. In the spacious area of the Trogon Lodge, there is very much to see, for example different species of plants and animals like humming birds, lizards and even Quatzals. The lodge does also offer a shorter and a longer exciting hiking track in the cloud forest. We booked a Quetzal watching tour in the morning and really saw about 5 Quetzals.
