If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a car rental service. The staff is very kind, they gave free food to us and items for our food. The bungalow is maybe basic, but that's exactly why everyone comes to Bukit Lawang, back to basic! The family bungalow gives you a lot of privacy and constantly seeing monkeys in the trees. On the first evening we spotted an urang utang walking next to our bungalow!

Great staff and awesome vibe, gardens are beautiful and the rooms/bungalows are simple but very well decorated and they have everything to have a comfortable stay. They look exactly like the pictures. Very well located to start the hike to see the orangutans. Restaurant was very good, and it was nice to have dinner and join the staff who was playing guitar and singing. Breakfast was awesome, I loved the porridge (baked, steel cut) with local fruits. You really get a lot for what you pay. I hope to go back!

Everything was really nice. The staff helped us and provided us with all the information about the trekking. Hotel rooms are cute with a beautiful view from the balcony. Joni, Pajar and Arip made our journey to jungle a really wonderful experience.

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with mountain or river views. The lodge was in a beautiful secluded setting with gorgeous views. I also booked jungle and orangutan trekking with them which was brilliant. The whole team (but particularly Yusup and Geng) made me feel very welcome, went above and beyond for me to get the most out of my experience and tailored the trek to my preferences. Thoroughly recommend 👍🏽

Towels and bed linen are offered in the lodge. The homestay currently consists of three one-room cabins and a small house w/ a compact kitchen. It’s located in a quiet area away from the busy main road. The owner is a very kind elementary school teacher who lives near the homestay with his family. I stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the cleanliness, the hot water in the shower, the excellent WiFi, the exceptional view from the back porch, and the incredible hospitality of the whole family.

A water park is available on site and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. It's a quiet place..I really enjoyed my stay.. the staff was nice and very easy to deal with upon check in and check out.. its not too far from town..the room was clean also the bathroom..the owner just cleaned the pool only to give fun to my daughter..really appreciate that..will stay with the same homestay if i come again.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the lodge, while hiking and cycling can be enjoyed nearby. the staffs are great. they are very helpful. the location is great if you like nature. there is no aircon in the room, but we sleep comfortably. don't forget the insect repellant. it's nature after all. you can't avoid insects especially moquitoes.
