Since the moment I arrived, the owner Gudrun received me with open arms and gave me a map right away with places to visit around Snaefellsnes! She was very sweet and caring! The cabin was absolutely wonderful, equipped with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The dinner both night was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The lamb and the pasta were SOOOOO GOOD! Worth it every penny! The breakfast was also wonderful. Gudrun really cares about her visitors, and you can truly tell by the way she helps and is always available, plus she’s a wonderful cook! As a solo traveler, it truly made me feel like home, which honestly, was the best! I’ve been in Iceland for 2 weeks now and have stayed at 10 different places, this one has been BY FAR! The best! What a wonderful stay!

Beautiful location, isolated and quiet but still less than 10 Min drive to cute town where we had dinner. We liked the sheep visitors. Very new and clean. Comfortable bed. Had everything we needed, well stocked kitchen.

Dis Cottages is a place that is about 10 minutes away from Grundarfjörður town centre, with nothing much around it and will fascinate you. Before check-in, the hosts provided the necessary information clearly and it was a really smooth expreince. If you are lucky enough and the weather is clear, you can see the northern lights from where you sit in your room. Thanksfully we were lucky enough.
