Very responsive to messages and questions. The shuttle service was amazing and convenient as someone who travels by public transportation. There is so much to do at the lodge. They have saunas, you can swim in the river; there are also inflatable rafts, bikes, bathing suits, and BBQ equipment available for renting. If you are ever passing between Kumamoto and Oita, you should stop by!

The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A stovetop and kettle are also provided. We loved our stay here. The host took her time to explain everything and answered a lot of my questions. Very nice and responsive. The trees on the back patio invite a lot of birds so I got to watch them every morning. We rented a car, the cottage was easy to find and access. It's very comfortable, the air temp in the room, the furniture, the hot tub on the patio, the kitchenette. Although we mostly ate the already prepared food from the grocery stores.

This lodge provides free private parking, room service and free WiFi. The cottage was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed and if there was something we needed that wasn’t supplied we just had to ask Mayumi the owner.

Ideally located, 3 minute walk to bus station. Owner was very helpful and ordered breakfast and lunch packs for our Cedar trail hike to Jomon. The food packs were delivered to our door steps by 4:30 am to be ready for our all day hike.

The staff were so thorough to ensure my stay was comfortable. The outdoor bath is one of the best I've experienced in Japan. It's in a beautiful Part of the country and we'll worth a stay. Kuju Flower Park is 1.8 km from the lodge, while Guernsey Farm is 5.8 km from the property. Kumamoto Airport is 60 km away. Food is excellent. We booked a dinner and breakfast. It was delicious. And Star observatory camera services on the clear sky day. Private onsen for family and need to book.

The house is very nice and very cozy. It is very warm and the place is very beautiful! Even my mum and dad who do not normally say anything was very vocal how much they love the place. The owners were very helpful and very warm people too. Just a note that you cannot go here without a car because it is in the middle of the forest. But renting a car and going here was the best decision we have made for our whole Fukuoka trip!
