Mr Chan is a godsend. My husband and I didn't expect to be spoilt rotten by his spectacular host abilities - from transporting us to and from the bus terminal, to cooking our daily breakfast, to pointing out the best slopes, sorting out ski/snowboard rentals and issues, even lending us bus money when we didn't have enough on the last day (which we paid back promptly). The room cleaning service was also very prompt. He even gave us onsen tickets on the last day??? There are no words to describe how grateful we are, no idea what we've done to deserve this.
Rooms were super clean, neat, heated, and showering facilities were amazing. There was a dry room where our rented equipment were dropped off and picked up. The bus stop to Happo One (Nakiyama) slopes were just out the front door. This has been the best accommodation experience in our lives and we definitely will be back.
It truly felt like a cosy home away from home. Thank you Mr Chan from the bottom of our hearts!

The staff and front reception lady who manages everything is the sweetest person in the world and always smiling and making sure everyone is happy. It's clean, quiet, located right near happo chairlift and I can't think of anything I disliked. There's a feeling of home/comfort and its very nice

It was cute/quaint and had character! Excellent location, shuttle stops for all the mountains were a five min walk or less, as were the ski rental shop and many restaurants. Loved hanging out in the common room. And most of all we LOVED Taka, he was the best. Such an amazing host. Definitely would stay here again if I came back to Hakuba and definitely would recommend to a friend.

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

A free shuttle is available from JR Hakuba Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Forest views are available from the 2nd floor of the accommodation. Love it. Super friendly hosts who helped us a lot, offered to pick us up, take us to hire gear at echoland (with discount at affiliated store), take us to deliver our luggage and send us to the station upon checking out. Booked restaurants for us too since we didn't have a local phone number. Thank you so much! Great accommodation, very cosy and nice atmosphere, vending machine inside, 2 onsen rooms (one of which has an outdoor onsen too, very nice in the snow) which can be used privately by booking each day. Drying room for ski gear is very convenient. Short walking distance (<5 min) to free local bus stop to goryu, happo, iwatake and also to echoland base camp for the hakuba valley shuttle. Buses only run a few each day and finish pretty early, best to not miss the last one as getting a taxi can be a pain! Breakfast needs to be booked by 10am from the previous day, but it's amazing, highly recommended.

Great host. Large self catering kitchen & lounge. Winter ski lodge but operates in summer also. Highly recommended.
Great location right on the slopes near the gondola at Tsaigke Kogen. Very clean, nice staff and everything you need for a basic ski lodge style accommodation. The value for money is excellent and the restaurant within the main building is great and very good food and a great selection of wine and Japanese whisky. Drying room, kitchen, free wifi and shared areas.
Really kind and helpful staff, gave us a ride to the train station. Easy access to Goryu resort by foot and they can give you discounted rentals (really good price) as well as sell you ski passes at a discount .All in all, a great ski lodge.
The Japanese breakfast is amazing. TOP friendly and helpfulness. The bed is comfortable, bedding is warm. The building is well-insulated. Open fire place in the common area, with leather sofas. A great place to relax. Very close to the ski ticketing and slope. You can ski back to the ski lodge. The ski slope is across the street.
Couldn’t have been more pleased with this ski lodge. Just impeccable, everything is kept to such a high standard, coupled with the amenities and services makes this my stay in Hakuba from now on. Stephen has done an amazing job with this property. Honestly so stoked with my stay there.
We loved the view and location!! Incredible. The timber ski lodge feel was lovely and staff were very helpful.
Position near Gondola; authentic ski lodge; nice breakfast; lovely family run business
ski to door hotel at chairlift, such nice staff, so clean and quietly efficient, comfy beds, lovely onsen, good ski rental equipment, magnificent lounges and bars and superb food, lovely fire in the lounge. Still retains the ski lodge vibe.
A really nice semi traditional Japanese ski lodge which is run by a very friendly Japanese family who went above and beyond to answer any questions and make my stay both interesting and comfortable. Location was great if you are wanting to be near the Hapo 47 Ski lifts and Hakuba shuttle bus (5 minute walk) Only around 15-20 minute walk into the main Hakuba area.
