Such a great place to stay at! Nice spacious room with comfortable beds, great common room to chill at night after a day on the slopes too. We really liked the freshly cooked breakfast every morning, simply delicious. A big thanks also for our host Mr. Chen for his wonderful hospitality, and a special thanks for driving back to the station to bring us the bag we forgot at the lodge, would not have made our train without him! Overall great experience, would recommend to anyone going to Hakuba.

The owner is so friendly and the atmosphere is so good. Breakfast is included and very delicious. Although it’s not that close to the JR Station, there are a lot of restaurants nearby. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

We loved our stay at Pension Tomato. The host was really kind and picked us up from the train station in Hakuba. Along with this, when dropping us off after our stay, he stopped at the Yamato centre so we could send ski bags to the next accomodation, a huge help. We stayed in the 6 bunk lodge, fantastic. The amenities were very, very clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent. Spacious enough, with a nice area to relax in and kitchen bench to make easy meals. We also utilised the in-house onsens - a great choice as they were incredibly relaxing and peaceful after a ski, really clean and nice tranquil forest views. There are multiple, bookable for mixed or non-mixed onsens. The breakfast which you book the day before is great too. A few minutes walk from the main echoland strip and rental place for ski/snow gear. That’s where shuttles for Happo-One and Hakuba 47 stop too, so convenient to get to the mountains in the morning.

A short 10 min walk to Happo-One, but a shuttle is available if you're travelling with kids and gear. We stayed in the stand-alone cabin with two families, and the place was spacious and well appointed.
