All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, very clean, comfortable bed, clean pool, the breakfast and dinner was amazing, great location close to restaurants. I could keep going on! They also organised our transport from Dikwella and to Ella as well as an amazing safari. Thanks so much for your hospitality :)

Guests at the lodge can enjoy fishing and cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. Great hospitality, and prime location to Udawale national park, and just down the road (3 min drive) from the Elephant Transit Home. The room was just like the pictures, and the surrounding forest and river are magical. We even encountered some monkeys on the property which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was filling and delicious, a combination of traditional Sri Lankan sweets and breakfast foods with fruit. The owner and workers are incredibly courteous, offered some good safari deals, and even showed us some of the cinnamon, curry leaves, and pepper plant which are all on their property. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the area! Extremely reasonable price.

Our second time to udawalawa and can not fault anything with respect to our stay at jungle safari cottage and our safaris within the park. hotel offers outstanding service and excellent food. On top of that its conveniently located near the park.

Located 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Peacock Riverside Eco Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and room service for your convenience.

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with river views. We went for the safari, we stayed in a very rural area surrounded by nature to make the experience even better. On arrival we were offered a cooking class in the evening which was excellent. Sujee and his wife are so lovely and he is so knowledgeable about the safari. The hotel itself is very well built and kept and high quality. We went on a all day safari from around 10am, lunch included, and saw so much on the day, I would highly recommend a longer safari if you can afford it as it’s really worth it.

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. Really nice garden and well-equipped cottage. The dinner they cooked was really tasty. The staff was super friendly and helpfull.

Offering river views, Nature Glow Cottage in Udawalawe offers accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and water sports facilities. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. We were undecided about our National Park visit. We saw the evaluations for nature glow had, and it turned out they were 100% accurate. They organized a driver to pick us up and Ella and drive us to their magical accommodation. There are two accommodation villas located on a rise of land above a small creek entering a larger river. It's very much in the jungle with wildlife abounding. The air conditioning, which was important to us worked very well, and the bed, room and bathroom were all very good. Our hosts arranged for a safari driver for the two of us. The next morning we are up early and went on Safari in the national park. We saw many many elephants, both solo and in groups of females with their babies. And we also saw a variety of other wildlife. For us Sri Lankan food was a new experience. I fully recommend that you arrange to have your breakfast and dinner at the villa. The dishes were authentic and delicious. We were treated to a variety of different Sri Lankan food. Our host were wonderful people. They took pride and doing everything possible to make our stay as comfortable enjoyable and interesting as possible.
