Our room had everything we needed: a cozy bed, working AC, and a clean space to relax after traveling. The host even gave us cold drinks and face towels when we arrived. Plus, the peaceful surroundings allowed us to enjoy the soothing sounds of nature, with monkeys occasionally visible nearby.

It was a great experience for me and my wife. Staff was friendly and meals were delicious. We went for the safari, we stayed in a very rural area surrounded by nature to make the experience even better. On arrival we were offered a cooking class in the evening which was excellent. Sujee and his wife are so lovely and he is so knowledgeable about the safari. The hotel itself is very well built and kept and high quality. We went on a all day safari from around 10am, lunch included, and saw so much on the day, I would highly recommend a longer safari if you can afford it as it’s really worth it.

An amazing guest house with three rooms, and a large common area, located at the foot of dramatic and lush hill. We managed some very nice birding just sitting in the garden. A truly relaxing setting in nature. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the meals were delicious.

Fantastic place to stay, from the hosts to the actual room, to the location...We have only beautiful things to say. Communication with the owner was very easy and quick. The amenities were great. The room was wonderful & clean. Safari was Amazing. We could see so many Animals. Such as Sri Lankan leopards, deer, wild boar, water buffalos, crocodiles & a large number of varying Birds species (eagles, parrots, owls, and peacocks....) We had a great experience with the Oasis Wild Cottage. We definitely plan to return to OWC!

This room exceeded my expectations by far. Very spacious room with a thee/coffee corner, two beds, table and chairs. Ac and fan but super cool inside so not even necessary to turn on the AC. Finally a room with bedside lights and proper curtains. And the most lovely balcony with a view of the jungle and the river running down below which you can also hear and is very calming. The scenery round here is beautiful and an ideal location for visiting Udawalawe National Park, but also to just unwind and enjoy nature and Damiante’s delicious cooking. Probably the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far and the portions were huge. You will not go hungry. Also just a very loving and caring family that are always available to help you in any way the can. I highly recommend the place to any and everybody visiting Sri Lanka.
