The food was authentic Sri Lankan food and very tasty . The staff picked us up and dropped us off from /to the town and the whole day safari is a must have .

We were given a free room upgrade. The property's beautiful lake in front added to its charm. The Western and Sri Lankan food we enjoyed during our stay was outstanding. The owner of the property is very kind and personally ensures that guests are comfortable. She helped us book a Yala safari with a professional naturalist. We will definitely return. This property is a gem, and with the first-class service of the staff, there's no need to look further. We highly recommend staying at this property if you plan to visit Block 5 in Yala, as it is closer to Block 5.

The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The house is very spacious, clean, and modern—perfect for our group of 10 people. The food was delicious, all prepared by the staff, which made our experience even more relaxing. The pool was stunning, and being surrounded by nature made the experience even more special. We spotted monkeys, peacocks, a variety of birds, and even a monitor lizard! Another great advantage is that the house is located just 15 minutes from the entrance of Yala Safari Park, making it super convenient for our excursions. Overall, it was a peaceful and unique getaway, and the staff’s care and attention made it truly memorable. Highly recommend this place!

The ambience and the vibe of the property was perfect and awesome. The cleanliness of the property was commendable. The activities offered by the lodge were engaging and interesting too. All in all, we had a wonderful and memorable stay at the lodge.

The lodge provides a barbecue. Great location, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is great when coming back from a safari. The safari which was actually organised by elephant arcade was excellent, comfortable cars and very good packed breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is really good as well. Amazing staff! I totally recommend this place!

Situated in Tanamalwila, 34 km from Udawalawe National Park and 26 km from Tissa Wewa, Thanamal-villa features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden with a barbecue.

The lodge offers an à la carte or Full English/Irish breakfast. My favourite days in Sri Lanka. Peace, nature and a generous and warm host. The safari Prasad arranged was perfect - lots of elephants, a beautiful lotus lake, black- faced monkeys, lots of birds and only 3 other jeeps in the 4.5 hours. The rooms are clean, with a hammock next to a little stream, iguanas, peacocks, monkeys and eagles in the garden. Prasad's mum's coconut rotis are the best I had in my 3 weeks and the room and safari were great value. Thanamalwila has few tourists so unspoilt and the family will help with everything from bus bookings, travel advice to taking me to see a friends farm to see crops growing. The buses from Ella and Galle stop directly outside the homestay so it's really easy to get to. The safari is in Blocks 5 and 6 of Yala. If you want a peaceful safari then I highly recommend Prasad's place.
