The bed and daybed were very comfortable. Loved the added touch of a continental breakfast being supplied. We chose this place for the scenery because there was a walk on the doorstep, it didn't disappoint. The walk by the river and through the trees is lovely it's about a 2k round trip. You can cool off in the river. We found 2 really clear shallow spots. Mary is a lovely host, and we actually could have spent the day chatting to her. We will definitely be back.

Great food and atmosphere, everything a fishing lodge should be. The rooms were comfortable, the staff pleasant and accommodating. We had a great weekend away.
It is spotless and well maintained. All facilities are of a very high standard well above the level of most Backpackers lodges I have stayed at. It was so cosy warm, I only slept with a top sheet covering me.

It had everything we needed for a 5 night stay We enjoyed the bonus of having hot mineral pools on the property. It was a great place to relax and to return to after a wonderful day enjoying hikes and the beautiful Tongariro and Lake Taupo area.
