Piteå
Set in Piteå, 8.9 km from Piteå Bus Station, Northern Lodges Mountain Lodge offers accommodation with a terrace, free WiFi and a concierge service. The property features mountain and river views, and is 13 km from Piteå Golf Club. We were given more food then we knew what to do with. Coffee, milk, OJ, a loaf of bread, cheese and a variety of lunch meats, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit. We had extra every day and usually made a snadwich for lunch. A different loaf of bread every day that was fresh baked. The bread was amazing. I asked about the coffee and Yoakim procured 2 bags that I bought to bring home to the US. Yoakim, Martin and Erik were extremely helpful with getting us directions to places we wanted to visit. Yoakim set up a dog sledding adventure and snowmobile ride to experience Swedish Fika. If you want to ski, it is included in your stay. Snowshoeing through the forest was beautiful. And the sauna at the end of the day was so relaxing. There was wood and kindling to make a fire every night of our stay. We just stayed in one of the days and just watched the snow fall. It was like being in a snow globe. It was a great experience all around.

Kiruna
Featuring lake views, Arctic Gourmet Cabin in Kiruna features accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed the lodge and the bed was comfortable. We also went to the sauna and enjoyed it a lot. Everyone was friendly and welcoming
Absolutelly amazing location. It is a lodge hotel if I have ever seen one. Easy access. Great views. Walking trails to the waterfall area. Services on site with camper parking, charging points, sauna, spa. We got an upgrade on our room cause the venti system was under maintenance so we got a room with a sauna. Very cosy. Just a 10/10
A very cost-effective way to stay. It worked just fine as a lodging for an outdoor holiday.
The house was really great, perfect for a family with 3 children. We really like Swedish Lapland and the house is the perfect place for adventures in nature... it's our second time in this house, last time we were here in summer, now we enjoyed the winter (ski touring, hiking up Pyhäkiellinen near Skaulo, husky and snowmobile safaris in Lappeasuando ...)
Staying at the lodge was a great experience. Both Joakim and Marten are very nice and at hand for any support. The sauna was the cherry on the cake and a great experience to heat it yourself, get warm water for showering from it etc.
Staying at Camp Caroli in Kiruna was like stepping into a winter wonderland, but with the warmest welcome you could imagine, all thanks to Stephen, our host. He's not just friendly; he goes out of his way to make sure you have an amazing time. On the safari tour, we spotted some incredible wildlife. And Stefan even showed us around the upcoming Camp Caroli 2.0, which sounds like it's going to be an epic place for family fun under the aurora. Honestly, if you're after the best aurora views, this is where you want to be.
We stayed in the private apartment. It was clean, shower was good, and the kitchen had basic supplies. Very short walk to the grocery store and to the restaurant at nearby Abisko Mountain Lodge. They run many activities from there and can help you book with other companies.
The location is fantastic. We walked out of the lodge and up a little hill and there were the Northern Lights. The breakfast is amazing. I have never had such yummy eggs. We loved the bread and cheese too. The main sitting room was lovely, especially with the fire going.
Lovely old mountain style lodge
