Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. This lodge is absolutely amazing from the warm and comfortable rooms to the delicious food and the awesome staff who ensure your every need is met. I loved the views and everything about this stunning lodge. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Located in the village of Stormsrivier in Tsitsikamma, this bed and breakfast offers traditionally decorated rooms with a balcony. For a small, single bed room it was still quite spacious, with a wardrobe and desk, and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and the option to order my preferred meal was appreciated, in addition to the lovely buffet. The village had several dinner options, and menus for each were available to peruse before deciding where to go, most were in easy walking distance. It was easy to find and the staff were all lovely.
