From the moment we arrived we received outstanding care from the on-site concierge. Nothing was too much trouble - from house cleaning to laundry and help with the local food delivery services. The apartment itself is spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. AC in every room, kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and a water filter which meant that we did not have to buy bottled water. Beds were extremely comfortable and the roof terrace was a bonus extra space to hang out in the evenings. WiFi was excellent. The location was great. You could get a cab directly to the door and it is walking distance to Ballygunge train station, a local supermarket, Gariathat and many restaurants and coffee houses. Would highly recommend!

The Westin is a luxurious hotel providing all the amenities expected of a good 5-star hotel. I am not sure why but maybe because it is off-season in Kolta, but I thought the Westin was excellent value for money. It is probably more expensive in peak season. My room was spacious with an excellent desk and chair. The room has a huge bathtub and the shower is uite spacious. The special Bengali New Year's buffet dinner at Seasonal Tastes on the 10th floor was absolutely superb. I have not had so many excellent and exquisite dishes for a long time. They had live music during the dinner and I was entertaining people I wanted to chat with. We were promptly relocated to another part of the music where is was quieter and one could chat more easily. The gym is well-equipped and the swimming pool is also quite enticing. A special shout-out to the exceptional and helpful staff especially Mr Pranab Banerjee, Jr Sous Chef, who goes out of his way to attend to residents during breakfast, as well as Rinky and Tamal at Seasonal Tasters. The breakfast spread is exceptional. The only other place where the breakfast spread exceeds that offered at The Westin is the ITC Royal Bengal (in my opinion). All in all, I will certainly consider the Westin the next time I am in Kolkata.

Staff from the front door through to the wait staff and housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly. Hotel is well maintained for it's size and age. Repair work was ongoing at the time but did not impact my stay.

GREAT staffs, Great atmosphere , great hospitality . Well recommended to anyone who is coming to Kolkata city. Highly recommended. They were so nice to let us check out at 7 pm as our flight was on 3 am. We asked even for some fruits during our stay but they didn't charge us. You can receive complementary unlimited bottle of water during your stay. Our room's view was great and we totally enjoyed out stay.
