What an incredible place. The location, the host/owners, the staff, the property itself.. eveything. As soon as we arrived at the place, it looked like paradise. The staff greeted us right away and checked us in. The view of lion rock right infont of you and the lush rice field and lake around it. There were so many different kids of birds at the lake/marsh, even peacocks. The view from the lake of both rocks were incredible, especially during sunset when the whole place is bathed in golden light. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and the view incredible. The owner was amazing (he was a fellow Canadian :)) - they took the time to converse with us, booked tuk tuk and recommended how to get to certain places. 100% will return again - without a doubt.

Best place I stayed in Sri Lanka! They gave me a great room with beautiful views looking at Sigiriya rock and the kindness and hospitality went above and beyond. Provided snacks when it was raining too much to go out, gave a new experience of climbing a coconut tree to get some coconuts for breakfast and even drove me to the bus stop in Dambulla. Extremely kind hearted people and truly an incredible experience!

We stayed there for a night and booked this location due to wonderful comments about its owner and location. And it is absolutely true. It is a small yet lovely hotel and also just 5 mins tuk tuk ride from the Sigiriya Rocks. Also very easily accessible to city center and restaurants. The owner is a fine gentleman and really friendly. We forgot our two bags and realised after we got call from hotel and we were around 20 kms away. The owner sent the bags via tuk tuk and did not accept cash for this extra effort done by them. We were really grateful to them.
