The location was amazing! Right across the road from the shops, supermarket, restaurants cafes etc. the lovely lady on check in was very friendly and very helpful, showed us to our room which was a lovely touch! Our room was upstairs and overlooked the lovely garden area which had a BBQ and table and chairs. The room had sky with all of the Channels. The bathroom was nice and spacious and great water pressure. The rooms are soundproof and quiet! We used the guest laundry which was very reasonable at $2 per load, $2 for the dryer and $1 for detergent, but there is the option of hanging your clothes on the communal clothes line. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay again if I’m ever in Cromwell.

Great location, not far from main route into town. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely helpful, giving us directions to places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Room was huge and very comfortable. Chose room with spa bath that was lovely after a busy day. Wish we had been staying longer.

Love that it’s clean and new. Cutlery, plates and kitchen wares and cleaning supplies were clean and well provided for.

The motel is in a nice quiet town. Great scenery. A perfect stop between Queenstown and Invercargill. The host was friendly and accommodating.

Ian was a welcoming host who greeted us at the door due to our late check in time. The hotel is well cared for with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We did have a smaller room and a shared bathroom which was not an issue. Spending time on the veranda after a long drive was a welcomed break. The mornings continental breakfast along with the wide selection of coffee's was impressive. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Opened in January 2017, the adults only Cromwell Escape is located 3.7 km from Central Otago District Council in Cromwell and only 100 meters from the new Lake Dunstan cycle trail.
