The location and facilities met our expectations, such that everything was provided to allow us to self cater. Centrally located with the shops and supermarket all within an easy walk. I would recommend people visiting the Takaka area to stay at this motel.

United StatesAbsolutely lovely little cabin. I did not expect to have a whole cabin. It was lovely. Overlooked a meadow and just a short walk to the two local restaurants and the beach. Owner allowed me to stash my suitcase while I trekked the Great Walk. Also on return gave me a free ride back to where I rented the backpack. Very kind folks. Lovely dog.

The 3-bedroom apartment was spacious and well-equipped. We even had an air fryer to use! The room was well-furnished and decorated. Now I wish we had stayed longer than just one night. The motel was very quiet despite being located just off of the main road. Lisa, at reception was awesome & brought us a portable gas weber bbq to prepare our dinner. We had a little semi-private patio with table and chairs. The shower was good and there was a separate room for the toilet (luxury, no manoeuvring around the basin to go to the loo).
