A very peaceful stay here. Large rooms and the onsen is very relaxing! The breakfast is very good too! There's even a large sunflower field just at the parking lot area of the hotel. But not sure if the sunflower field be there next year.

Excellent stay at Takitei, the best of our trip to Japan in April 2025. Warm hospitality throughout, complete with very delectable dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend the Japanese style room with private onsen, you can even feed the koi fishes from the room. The room also had views of the private garden with the cherry blossoms, making it a very dreamy scene. Dinner and breakfast were on point, and there's even complimentary drinks in the evening and noodles at night. I don't think any other hotel room or hospitality can top this, would definitely return to stay in the future.t

Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Nice traditional ryokan in a beautiful village in the mountains, close to World Heritage Villages Ainokura, Suganuma and Shirakawago. The staff were very kind and helpful, and agreed to change our meals when we contacted them and told them we are vegetarians. We stayed in a clean, traditional Japanese style room with a mountain view and had full access to the ryokan's onsen bath (with a warm and cold bath as well as sauna inside, and a warm bath outside).

I love this secluded hotel in the mountains! The hotel has a retro style but is very clean. The meals are included and are excellent. During my stay, I had the onsen practically all to myself and I enjoy the outdoor onsen looking out into the forest the most!

Our 2nd time in this ryokan! Love the outdoor onsen! 30 mins drive to shirakagawo! There is also 2 unesco heritage near here which is less popular than shirakagawo. Beautiful view from our room!

Not too expensive ryokan near the mountains with beautiful outdoor onsen. Vouchers given for gift shop nearby. Food is decent and the dining service is superb.
