Everything is newly renovated and spotless. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Everything was great, really enjoyed my stay in Shizukatei. Room was great and very comfortable, Baths are also great and the surroundings are beautiful and very quiet. They have a transport service and picked me up from the train station, it is just a 10mins drive. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and very high quality. Team was really nice, very patient and helpful. Highly recommended!

Absolutely everything was perfect! We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the staff. We definitely want to stay here again. One of the most perfect stays we have had, in both Japan and abroad. We cannot recommend this place enough! We were worried about the electricity used to heat up the place though.. . Since the cottage has a very tall ceiling it takes time to heat it up (the staff waited for us with the place warm ❤️) . A smaller cottage would be great too and we'd be happy to pick it over the tall one purely for not generating a big electricity bill for the owners.

Looking for a property with onsen?

Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.
