the building is amazing. I loved all the art, all the corners, the garden with the koi, the private onsen for 1500¥ / 45 minutes. classical music is playing until 10pm. there’s unlimited coffee for free. fresh drinking water, tea, sweets and fresh flowers will wait for you every day in your room. the room we stayed in was spacious and had beautiful light. the staff was always professional, helpful and considerate. the snow monkey park is easily reachable by foot, and there’s are great cafe / restaurant (the farmhouse) very close, if you fancy some local beer and food.

this was the first visit to YOROZUYA after many years. always an exceptional experience. staff was great! Sakamoto-san was very accommodating in our SAKURA room for meals. will be sure to visit again. maybe stay in KIKU room?!?!

This was simply a wonderful ryokan The owners are a lovely couple - very kind and responsive, and they speak English The owner met us at the train station, took us to the Monkey Park, and even showed us where to find some delicious ramen (which we really did enjoy) The ryokan itself has a great onsen - just as good as public ones They also provided us with yukata, which was a nice way to experience Japanese culture At the end of our stay, the owner kindly drove us back to the train station I would absolutely recommend this place- one of the best we’ve ever stayed at!

Staff were excellent, facilities were excellent, room was excellent, beds were comfortable, location was excellent, service was exceptional, from being picked up and dropped off at the train station or the snow monkey park, nothing was too much trouble. We were always greeted polite and friendly manner by all staff.

This onsen hotel is a pearl if u like traditional Japanese style stay, and we enjoyed the most. It's spotless clean and cosy. The private onsen room is huge. And the dinner is way out of our expectation.(please do have dinner here)! A truly wonderful experience start to finish. We booked the twin room with private external bathroom (i.e an outdoor relaxation area with a hot tub fed from the hot spring water). When you walk into the room you feel instantly relaxed. Supreme luxury and comfort. Our breakfast and dinner were included, and it was absolute fine dining, some of the best food we have ever eaten (served up in our own private dining room!) The service was second to none, we felt absolutely spoiled every minute of our stay. An unforgettable experience.
