The accommodation offers a hot spring bath. Everything here is just perfect. The rooms are super comfy, the onsen is superb, the breakfast is wonderful, and the lounge floor is stunning. Apart from all that, the staff and their hospitality deserve a special shoutout.

Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. A free shuttle runs to/from JR Ogoto-Onsen Station, which is a 5-minute ride away. We stayed there for two nights, and it was one of the best hotels we have been to in our life. The hotel is located approximately 20 minutes walk from the Ogotoonsen Train station. However, the hotel provides free shuttle bus service from and to the train station. Just inform them beforehand. The hotel itself is beautiful inside. But the most wonderful are the people working there - everyone, be it check-in staff, kitchen staff or service staff - went above and beyond to provide fantastic, friendly service and comfortable stay for their guests. They readily answered our inquiries and were very kind. For example, they brought us to the Sakamoto the day after our arrival so that we could take the Sakamoto Cable Car to explore the Mount Hie. We booked the Junior Suite with Open-Air Hot Spring Bath. The room is large and gorgeous, with a separate bedroom and living room. The semi-open hot spring bath had a lovely view of Lake Biwa and starry heaven at night. It is also a very quiet location, so the feeling was truly magical while bathing at night. All necessary amenities are provided: Toothbrushes, hair and body products, several yukatas in our size and great tea and coffee. Our room booking also included dining in a private room with a several-course menu. This brings us to the next point: The food. The chef and the other kitchen staff are true artists. The unique kaiseki style meals, be it breakfast or dinner, were always presented elegantly. The fresh and generous meals represented the very best of the best of Japanese Omi region cuisine and were absolutely delicious. Many compliments to the staff! A free shuttle is available from JR Ogoto Onsen Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and a 20-minute train ride to Kyoto Station. Good location, friendly staff, good selection of food. Nice public and private baths!

A buffet breakfast is available at the ryokan. There is a coffee shop on-site. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed the four different onsens in there. A few of the onsens (indoor) were a little on the older side, but the outdoor rock pool was spectacular. The facilities were really great. Dinner was really high quality food, although I felt a bit rushed. The breakfast buffet was spectacular.

With quiet street views, this accommodation provides a balcony. The property is non-smoking and is located 36 km from Omimaiko Beach. very nice and cosy place to stay - very light and summer feeling for the days!

Boasting a hot spring bath, Dantokan Kikunoya is located a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station. Free pick-up from the station is available upon advance request. Decorated with modern interiors, Japanese-style guestrooms are fitted with tatami (woven straw) flooring. Free parking and free WiFi access in the lobby are available. The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Hot spring in East is clean and relax for body. You can choose to stay in the room for whole night with a pot of green tea, or enjoy good beef in dining area. The staffs are warm and good at dealing customers’ need.

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and free shuttle service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Amazing food, pleasant staff and great onsen. Frequent shuttles to and from train station was a plus.
