This was such an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to stay for just one night but ended up staying 4! Okay, from the beginning. We had different accommodation in Hakuba, but we weren’t satisfied so we were looking for something else and found Dark Horse by chance. The moment we walked into the house, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Andy, Rika, Momo and Hana create something truly special. We’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and such, but this one will stay in our hearts for a long time. Everything is well thought out, you can see it’s taken care of down to the smallest detail, you can see it’s done properly and not just to be the cheapest. We felt so beautifully hosted. They also have an amazing sake collection to try, and the food is delicious too. Thank you again and we already miss it. I hope we’ll get the chance to meet again. PS. The staff at Yasushi are excellent - friendly, polite, and always helpful - they are international, and speak perfect English. Breakfast is great - and there's a cosy afternoon tea included. Beds are very comfortable, shower is strong, rooms a good size with good insulation from neighbours, and the style very well judged - making it pleasant to spend time in the room. A hotel shuttle bus is a nice bonus - making it easy to get to the slopes in the mornings. Thanks guys for a great holiday!
