This spot is incredible. The rooms felt modern and had everything we needed for a short stay. The staff was very friendly. We had lunch and breakfast here and very much enjoyed ourselves. We were even sad we didn't have our dinner there too. The location initially seemed far from the castle and old town but there is a shortcut. It is a steep 8mins walk to get to the castle but doable.

the Hotel Gjirokaster is in the perfect location to the bazaar area, restaurants and close to the historic castle. the staff were amazing and very helpful. our room was lovely and had a view facing the bazaar area. there is a nice clean pool and lounging area. It was a much needed rest day for us.

What impressed me the most was the cleanliness that this hotel offers. I really liked the breakfast, it was delicious and plentiful. something else that caught my eye was the behavior of the staff. Perfect stay with Thanasi, true Albanian hospitality. The restaurant and house are brand new and very clean. The power was out when we arrived due to a thunderstorm, but this didn’t matter at all, we had a delicious dinner prepared by cantle light, and some really nice chats. The bed was so comfy!
