Everything was great! Amazing location in old monastery, solitude feel of the place, very nicely restored to modern facility yet with the old feel preserved, great host Isabele and for the end amazing breakfast. The best hotel I have ever been on my motorbike roadtrips !!

Beautiful apartment house in a quiet but lovely village of Altenberg an der Rax with a splendid view on a mountain range. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean, well serviced, The owners and all the staff are very kind and helpful people, really nice to talk with. The breakfasts are really good and tasty with a wide variety of food and drinks, the restaurant offers a fairly good and diverse menu. It´s only about 20 minutes´ drive to the Stuhleck ski resort. Would highly recommend and would love to come back again.

The hosts were amazingly kind, we had a wonderful time with my parents and my daughters. The place is really at the entrance of the forest, the farm is cozy, everything is given for a relaxing holiday. I want to go back as soon as I can!

Peaceful setting close to many varied and interesting hiking and cycling routes. If there is poor weather the local town has 3 museums to visit including the Sudbahn Railway museum. The small quirky railway museum in nearby Semmering is also worth a visit . The Ghega museum featured in Michael Portillo’s Vienna to Trieste railway episode on BBC TV. We also took the Rax cable car and hiked the dramatic limestone ridge routes. The owners of the B&B are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with an option of cooked eggs. Room No2 had a special shower cabin which included a steam facility which was very relaxing after a day in the mountains.

Wonderful view. Every sunrise and sunset is a new experience. Excellent location. Worth to take the train and check the breathtaking view. The appartment has everything that you would have at home, so a great place to be for short or long breaks too. Looking forward to come here again!

Everything! It’s like a dream - the view, the sorroundings, the little comfy house. It has a private terrace, parking space and the farm nearby - our daughter loved it and us too! They even welcomed us with some homemade apple juice. Lovely and very children oriented

We had an amazing stay at Herrnhof! The estate has a fascinating history and is perfectly located at the foot of the mountains with unbelievable views all around. Hiking trails start just nearby, which made it a perfect base for our adventures. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The apartment itself was perfect - fully equipped, and incredibly comfortable. A truly memorable experience!
