I have stayed here several times. It is very expensive so it makes a lovely treat. Personally I like that it is all „auf Deutsch“. I like to experience a place from that country‘s perspective, plus I can work on my German!

- We booked a room with a balcony and it was very nice to be able to sit outside to relax and/or eat dinner after coming back from a long hike. - It was nice to have a screen for one of the windows to keep the bugs out during the night. - Breakfast was great because there were many options for food (hot and cold) and coffee/tea.

My Friend and I stayed for one Night amd everything from the little details in the room, to the comfortable bed, great dinner & breakfast was Amazing! Special shout out to the staff, everyone was exceptionally forthcoming and kind. My friend got injured on the Trotto ride and the Owner provided ice , bandages amd also some homeopathic medicine my friend was after, nothing was too much trouble and we will definitively come back with our families. Thanks!

Nicely situated within 200 mtrs from train and bus station. Train to Cablecar at Ebenalp, train to cablecar Kronberg and bus to cablecar Hohenkasten nearby. Free card voor 3 cablecars and train and musea in Appenzell etc upon 3 day stay. Good breakfast. Great coffee. Very friendly staff. Nicely priced

Ideal location, not too far from the train station. We started all of our walks from the hotel which was very convenient. Beautiful views from our room. The owners were very polite and friendly. Our breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal there also. We will definitely return.

INCREDIBLE STAY! The hosts were extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. Immaculately clean and comfortable accommodation. A beautifully decorated seating area downstairs where they serve the most delicious breakfast!! In close proximity to many beautiful hikes. Many other good benefits of staying here.     A beautifully located hotel. The staff was all very helpful and extremely nice. Breakfast, as well as dinner, were delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Very comfortable parking lot beneath the hotel with an elevator from there to all floors. Not a cheap hotel but relative to prices in Switzerland very high value for money.

    Lovely hotel facing the snowcapped mountain and the greenery hill with mountain peak background. Plenty of on-site parking spaces. Staff are very friendly. The hotel is well maintained, has lift and Michelin star restaurant. Our room has balcony and a bench to enjoy the beautiful view. Room is spotless. Towels have no musty smell. Bedding is clean. Bed is comfortable, we have a good sleep. Good breakfast. Exceptional dinner. We will return in our next Switzerland visit.
