This hotel is absolutely fascinating! The hotel is in a traditional building with amazing and gorgeous courtyard. One of the staff speaks english and helped us with direction, taxi and anything we needed. The bed is super comfy and the room warm. There is west breakfast. I highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

Very great location and more than anything great and helpful staff, an always smiling and friendly kitchen chef :) and the owner helped us to arrange tickets to the Youjian Pingyao show (don't miss it!), Breakfast was basic Chinese breakfast but good, and we had dinner in the restaurant every night. We were afraid that we would get back pain from the beds (Kang Style bed means a brick / wood underground and a thin mattress), but unless you have severe back problems, you'll sleep well here.

Wonderful hospitality from the moment we arrived. Staff were most welcoming, accommodation quaint, yet modern. Lovely afternoon tea was a nice touch. Transfer from train station to hotel and back was most appreciated. Just made the holiday so much better!

We had an amazing stay at Elsewhere Hotel in Pingyao! The rooms were wonderful and the personnel was incredibly friendly (and English speaking) and helped us with all our questions. We recommend this hotel.

There are many French people staying here. The staff here are very enthusiastic and keep saying hello, leaving a very good impression on us. The room is very distinctive, the hygiene is clean, the facilities are good, and the hot water is sufficient! It's very comfortable to sleep. The hotel is strategically located on the main street, which is very convenient. There are scenic spots, restaurants and ticket offices at the door. We like it very much. We will come again. A fantastic location with a team of friendly staff. As it was winter, the place was generally quiet. However, the walls are thin and you could hear the noises from the corridor. Rooms were clean and cosy. Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Great place!
