Our visit to this lodge was unforgettable!The rooms and all the property have a very special charm:) Everything was clean and very much thought about. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was amazing and plenty, they cooked eggs from their own chickens! Owners' hospitality was exceptional, it was pleasure to meet such a wonderful couple! We hike the trails and visited hot springs pool nearby. Highly recommend this place for families and couples, you will not regret:)

The hostess was wonderfull. She looked after us, offered us plants from her vegetable garden. We even got treated to the visit of a sloth on her property.

Fabulous place to stay. Very helpful and informative hosts. This place has a 5 star feel and the Chocolate tour is a must, it will probably be the best one you do.

It was absolutely stunning! Everything was just perfect. Stunning Lodge with a beautiful view, perfect spot to relax. Everyone was really nice and the food was just outstanding. One of the best places I've ever seen - without any doubt!

Owner was very accomodating. Breakfast was delicious and chef Isabel was delightful! Visited nearby "Aqua Celeste." It was lovely. The pool is a nice size & safe depth for children. In my opinion, this property is a little too big & kind of expensive for just 1 person. It would be great value for a big family or couples vacationing together.

Our family travels nearly half the year, across continents and lodging types, and NEVER have we received such a warm, thoughtful, and over-the-top welcome! I mentioned when booking that we'd be staying the night of our youngest daughter's 2nd birthday. Some accommodations place a little note in the room; I thought it'd be a nice touch for her baby book. The host reached out prior to our arrival stating they'd do a little something for her and I was already so touched. But when we arrived, we walked into a chalet filled with personalized balloons, a birthday sign, cupcakes, a candle, AND a note. Needless to say, both our girls were elated and my husband and I were completely blown away by the host's care and love toward our littlest. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!! You made a long travel day so special, and a little girl's 2nd birthday an unforgettable one! On another note, the chalet itself is beautiful: modern, nicely situated in nature, and possibly the best-equipped rental we've ever stayed in. They have every kitchen appliance under the sun, a very obvious 1st aid kit (just in case), and a wonderful washer out back. Even more impressive is how spotlessly clean the place was - we were amazed! We'd highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay with Lusbeth, Alfredo, and family in the rustic cabins surrounded by their beautiful gardens. A generous, delicious, homemade breakfast was included. There was even home made passionfruit jam and fresh juice from their own fruits. There were many colourful birds, including toucans. They gave us a free night tour of their garden to see the frogs and other critters. They helped us organize activities and were genuinely kind. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with enough beds for 5 people. The kitchenette was a welcome addition so we could cook our own meals. I recommend supporting this local family by staying with them when you visit the Bijagua area and Volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles. We stayed here for 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. Johnny (I think he is the owner or manager), could not have been more hospitable. He welcomed us with a coffee and snacks after a long journey from Nicaragua. He arranged a room with 2 single beds into a double room with air conditioning even though the hotel was busy. He also helped us with transport and recommendations for activities, as well as showing and telling us about all the wildlife that surrounds the hotel. He is so kind. The hotel is very cute and comfortable. The breakfast was filling and delicious, and you eat it whilst sat outside listening to the birds and nature. Would absolutely stay here again!
