The hutch is quite luxurious, well above the standard of comparable places we had in Costa Rica. The balcony at the back of the house has splendid views with lots of birds and butterflies flying and buzzing around. Hosts (including the two dogs) are really nice and friendly.

We arrived at 3pm at the place appeared deserted we looked for 30 minutes trying to figure out how to check in. We finally left so we weren’t on the steep roads after dark.

Absolutely gorgeous home in the lush forest. Well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The host Mayco was amazing and helped with everything, including taxis, restaurant reservations and all our questions.

Beautiful location on a hillside with beautiful views. Excellent facilities, e.g. woodburner for chilly evenings, lots of kitchen equipment (blender was great for smoothies). The owner's aunt living next door was very helpful too

We were two families of 4 each . We had this big house where we could fit in with a extra bed on the floor but it worked fine. You are located in the heart of a farm family owned. The owner is Hermida, a lovely lady who is helped by the whole family, her grandson who speaks english came to welcome us. You have to take the breakfast and diner there, it is like being in Sra Hermida's kitchen. You eat fresh products from the farm. It is just a lovely location and they have so much to tell you about the place. We recommend 4x4 to explore Monteverde and to get to the house but the view is amazing from your lodge. Do not hesitate
