The loft apartment was airy and spacious; I really loved the ceiling windows that you can walk right up to, open up, and get a full outside view. The hosts thought of every little thing in terms of amenities. The automated messages that checked in every so often was a nice, albeit robotic, touch.

My wife and I went to a wedding anniversary in Dorsten and stayed for one night at this apartment which was very clean, tidy ,quiet with a space for parking our car. Thank you very much Mr Ritsch,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Usual excellent standards you expect with a Van der Valk. The room was large and appeared to have been refurbished in the past few years, great big comfy bed. Tea & coffee making facilities, and patio doors leading to patio area with chairs. When checking in the guy didn’t speak much English & we didn’t speak much German, but he was perfectly helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

    We stayed here to go to Taylor Swift's concert in Gelsenkirchen and it was the right decision. We left our car on the private parking and took a taxi to and from the arena. We were gone in no time and then a good night's rest in the comfy double room.

    We stayed here for attending a concert at the Veltins arena. It's a 10 minute drive to the arena so for us location was great. We had one delux room and one comfort room for triple. The delux room looks better, the comfort room is more dated and the bathroom not so nice. Both rooms are spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. In the delux room there was an electric kettle and coffee machine, also there was a mini fridge in both rooms. Big spacious parking. Friendly staff.

    The hotel front of house, restaurant, bar and communal areas were really nicely presented. Rooms were good size with good sized bathroom, access to outside on the ground floor or to a balcony on others. Plenty of free parking, breakfast was great at a reasonable price for what was on offer.
