this is a true gem of a guest house. it’s run by warm and conscientious owners who really understand how make the experience memorable. small touches go a long way, including the lovely communal spaces and gardens. the rooms are spotless and the location great. our family found this place a nice respite from a busy aswan.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Dolty Kato Nubian House. Located at the very heart of the Nubian village, this hotel has exceeded my expectations by all metrics. The staff was very attentive to my needs (special shout-out to Ms. Somaya at the reception and Mr. Sameer the manager) and was reachable 7/24. If you want a tour to Abu Simbel, or an authentic massage, or a boat trip, they will arrange it for you in a few minutes. The view from the rooms are amazing, they are right on the Nile. To sip my morning coffee while watching the boats on the Nile was a great experience. The food they serve was also quite authentic (Nubian cuisine) and tasty. Overall, it was worth the every penny I spent there.

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. We also ordered lunch which was delicious. No regretting we have chosen the place and we will definitely come back.

Everything was so beautiful, the rooms the whole compound, the views. Astonishing experience, waiting to come back. The food was one of the best I have ever tasted, the people were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and the design very beautiful. I had a very pleasant time at Wanas Gato! The place is gorgeous with house being decorated by beautiful Nubian style patterns and overseeing ships in the Nile. I spent hours just watching the beautiful Nile. Since the house is right next to the Nile and has direct access to it, the view is magical. The place is also very clean and breakfast was both fulfilling and very delicious. Finally, I cannot find enough of good words for the hosts and their hospitality, I felt like visiting relatives and was cared for like a family member.
