This was the second time we stayed at the property so we knew more or less what to expect, but we found that the barbecue/pool/chill out area was even better than the last time we stayed. Something I really appreciate is how relaxed the host Uli is - you feel more like you're coming to stay at a friend's place than a holiday rental. It was San Juan and the weather was great so we were mostly in and around the pool area during the day and we ate out at the barbecue area both nights, then we just went in the house to sleep. It was exactly the relaxing family long weekend we wanted and we're sure to come back again!

I arrived exhausted after a very long day's cycling and it was nice to have found somewhere friendly and traditional. Traditional accommodation has more character. The hosts were helpful and had a safe place for my bike.

Absolutely exceptional accommodation. So many wonderful & luxurious features, from pools to cinema, terraces to gardens, with multiple entertaining areas and sumptuous bedrooms. All in the most beautiful and lovingly modernised 16th century castle. The photos don't do it justice - this is a truly remarkable property. Staff and owner all so kind and friendly too.
