Nice little bar and restaurant, accommodation, wheel chair friendly on ground floor adjacent to main house. Very friendly attentive couple made our stay very comfortable. Good food too. Only 30 mins from Cherbourg, small rural village.

Very friendly and accommodating host and great location with lots of farm animals nearby ! It is very quiet even though it is nearby a main road that get you access to all shopping amenities within 8 minutes in both directions! We had our dog with us so it was very convenient that we could just go on long walks once we stepped outside.

So glad I found this apartment, I stayed a lot longer than planned and visited the east and west coast from here! I was travelling alone initially and felt very safe and comfortable in the apartment and in the lovely town of Valonges! Parking was easy and charging my Electric Car was easy at the local LIDL. Good choice of supermarkets very close also. My partner joined me and we ended up extending our booking as the location was great for day trips and we didn't want to risk moving on to somewhere that might be less comfortable! Internet was reliable for working. Julien was accessible and patient with our questions. Thank you! I would love to return and would definitely stay here again!!

This was the perfect spot. The owner himself greeted me, explained the apartment layout and handed me the keys. I liked the parking space and the fact that the gate had a remote lock. Felt very 007 esque!!!!! The apartment was huge; a sitting room cum diner, small kitchen, perfect back yard with table and chairs. Bathroom with shower, excellent water pressure. Toilet in the hall. Upstairs, two bedrooms. The property is down a small road and it's so quiet and only about 5km to the nearest big town Valognes. If you would like a nice repas du midi, go to E leClerc in Valognes. The staff there was so helpful. Je vous remercie infiniment de votre accueil et j'ai passe un tres bon sejour chez vous.

We loved everything about our stay here it was so special! We were the only guests that night after arriving on the ferry. We were allowed early check in and were able to have dinner also even though our email had not gone to them to say we would like it, they were very accommodating and kind. Dinner was a lovely experience and breakfast was awesome Very comfortable beds and so much room,. Lots of great advice. Like a fairytale, would love to stay again

Marie and Philippe are perfect hosts. They were friendly and very welcoming. The room (the Marco Polo suite) was excellent and very clean and well decorated. and appointed. The bedroom and bathroom were excellent and the sitting room was comfortable and very useful to have. The location, just 30 minutes from Cherbourg was excellent for us but I think the Maison de la Hulotte would be an excellent base for seeing the Cotentin peninsula. The breakfast was superb with homemade and local ingredients, including figs from the garden.

    Lovely property in a pretty rural village yet not too far to Cherbourg. Building itself full of character. Our (large!)dog was made very welcome which was great. Safe overnight parking. Food in restaurant was very nice and good atmosphere as bar becomes lively at night . Lovely owners

    Location close enough to Cherbourg for our early morning Ferry. Booked last minute. Basic room but comfortable and clean and large. Clean adequate bathroom. Private parking - we had biked on the back of the car and they were safe overnight as Hotel out of town in the lovely French countryside

    There was a warm welcome and spacious parking behind the lovely auberge. Breakfast met all preferences and it was an ideal place to have dinner and a comfortable overnight.

    We stayed on the way to Cherbourg ferry terminal. The Auberge is off the beaten track in a quiet location with on site car park. Supper was an excellent steak frites and salad followed by Crême Brulée (other options available). The pet policy was great for us and this will be our preferred overnight whenever we travel via Cherbourg. Fresh pastries, baguette, yogurt etc for breakfast. Lovely couple, great kitchen, thank you both!
