This well renovated monastery is located in a perfect spot, with a fantastic view on the valley and the town of Mauléon-Licharre. The rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. The host - Peio - was most welcoming and helpful. For us - a group of 5 long-distance cyclists - it was the most convenient place to stay on our trip from the Med to the Atlantic.

Our great room and great hospitality gave us a truly memorable stay. My husband and l loved the short walk from town up through a beautiful community on a hilltop. We were warmly greeted by Mathieu and Ana, who despite their hearing challenges we had a lively and animated conversation. Such a delightful couple! They both contributed to an amazing traditional Basque dinner, and the breakfast equally sumptuous.
