The location was perfect, just a short walk away from a variety of restaurants and attractions. The extra touches in the room were great. A wide range of tea, coffee and snacks available, and the host was very friendly and helpful when asked about restaurant options close by. I would highly recommend staying here for a weekend break.

    Good size bedroom. Also lounge and bar areas. Dinning room (used only for breakfast) decor is very impressive (Google the history...). Breakfast was buffet style but very nice with most if not all traditional cooked items available. Central location, right on the main street. Smallish hotel car park at rear but large municipal one directly opposite with free parking (Well done Alnwick), so parking was no problem at all.

    The staff were very welcoming and did what they could to fulfil our requests. This was a return visit to the hotel after many years. It was within a short walking distance of Alnwick Castle and gardens, the main reason for our visit. If the hotel's car park was full the public car park near the back of the hotel allowed 24 hour free parking.
