Natali & Tony - such a nice and friendly couple - have been so kind to us! The rooms and all the interior was so carefully, well and beautifully arranged... fresh wonderful flower bouquets in the house... wow... bathrooms... wow... rooms... wow... all is so clean... wow... breakfast... simply delicious... we loved our stay at St. Andrews and highly recommend this beautiful accomodation to all visitors!! In a good driving distance to Braemar in order you go to the Highland Games.

This is a hidden gem. This Guest House is alive with history and charm. It's central location in Balloter makes it an easy walk to anywhere in the village, as well as a quick journey to Balmoral and other area attractions. The town is wonderful for shopping, and the hosts are just plain delightful. Stephen makes a great breakfast, and Beth is attentive to anything you could need. Their knowledge of the area and other historical details they share may have you enticed for a bit during breakfast. Can't say enough good about them ! The bed and room sizes are fantastic. The Pub down the street is amazing and welcomes the best behaved doggies in the world. Finest food from India we've experienced was a block-and-a-half away. Wish we could have stayed longer !!

Lovely little place with high-quality furnishings. Just a short walk from the middle of Ballater but feels quiet and peaceful. The lounge/dining room catches the late afternoon sun and has a view up to the oak woods of Craigendarroch hill. It's quite a small place (the reasonable price reflects this - it's in a 'premium' part of the Highlands) but the quality of the armchair, sofa and dining chairs would put many a grand country hotel to shame and made for a relaxing and memorable stay.

    Delicious freshly cooked breakfast made to order for each guest. Location in the main square in the little town of Ballater, with free parking. Very comfy nice big beds and a special bonus for us , 3 single beds in the family room.

    In the heart of the village opposite free parking so the location was absolutely perfect. The owners are a lovely couple and they extended a warm welcome, were friendly throughout and cook a fantastic breakfast. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and well ventilated. Not only that it had a spacious bathroom with a powerful shower. We will definitely be back!

    Very friendly owner. Our room was spacious and clean , and breakfast was delicious in the conservatory overlooking the back garden. The view out of our window at the property opposite was beautiful. The property was within walking distance of the village centre. There was plenty of off street parking.

    This place had a very homely feel to it; I would stay here again. It really is out yonder but there is plenty of car parking out front. Everyone staying there was friendly and the staff although they appeared quite busy were also friendly. The dinner was good value for money and nice. There was a nice fire to sit around after dinner and the rooms were comfortable and cosy. Limited options for breakfast as it's a small hotel, but enough to get you going for the morning.

    Lock boxes were easy to use. Central location. Even though parking was limited, there is a large car park close by, after you decant your luggage. Two plastic bottles of wine offered on hospitality tray, although neither of us drink red wine. Would rather have had more biscuits instead of the two small ones offered.

    Quirky, beautifully decorated hotel. Features of old church kept which we liked. Room we had was comfortable and beautifully presented. Breakfast was lovely and the situation was perfect for walking / driving the short distance into Ballater. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free car parking was not provided by the Auld Kirk, but there is free parking right outside on the road which was good. We had a really good night's stay and would definitely recommend.
